Walkthrough: Email automation for law firms with LexLogik Mail

Email automation for your practice

Client mail mixes with everything else in the inbox—attachments get lost or mean tedious handoffs. LexLogik Mail gives that stream a clear home: inbound messages and attachments are picked up and prepared for recognition, combine, and export—just like direct upload.

Your original email stays in your usual mailbox. LexLogik works with the attachments; prepared documents are ready in the app. You get the same quality as manual work—document detection, images to PDF, compression, OCR, malware checks—depending on your settings.

It shines when you add a mail rule: forward messages with attachments to your LexLogik address automatically. Important: exclude LexLogik result messages from that rule—or forwarding loops back on itself.

Address, domain, and account mapping live in settings. Once intake is live, digital correspondence flows into your existing workflow—without extra admin—with the privacy and hosting posture you expect from LexLogik.

Suggestion for a forwarding rule

Set up a rule in your mail app to automatically send messages with attachments to the address LexLogik assigns you. This example follows Microsoft Outlook; similar rules exist in Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and others.

  • Forward all emails that have attachments
  • To destination [ihre-adresse]@inbox.lexlogik.com(Your personal address appears in the app under Settings → LexLogik Mail.)
  • Exclude: messages from noreply@inbox.lexlogik.com(typical sender for LexLogik result notifications—match your actual settings.)

When you set up automatic forwarding, make sure LexLogik result messages are not forwarded back to your LexLogik inbound address. Exclude all mail from the sender LexLogik uses for results (usually noreply@inbox.lexlogik.com) from the rule.

At a glance

  • Your own LexLogik inbound address: a clear channel for client correspondence
  • Automation: forward from Outlook and similar to one fixed destination
  • Results in the app: attachments ready for OCR, filing, and export
  • Privacy & security: processing per your configuration, hosting in Germany

How it works

  1. Activate and verify your LexLogik mail address in settings.

  2. Create a forwarding rule in your mail app—e.g. messages with attachments to your LexLogik address.

  3. Add an exception: don’t forward LexLogik result mail again (avoid a loop).

  4. Incoming attachments show up in the app—same as manual upload.

From the LexLogik team

We keep forwarding to a fixed inbound address deliberately simple—so firms can use rules in Outlook and similar without maintaining our API.
